Collectively, the members of this group constitute a virtual gold mine of expertise, knowledge, talent and passion for education. There is enormous diversity in terms of the cultures and nations represented, as well as in the various facets of education. |
Members include classroom teachers, principals and superintendents. We also have university and high school students! University professors and consultants of all sorts! Authors, Psychologists, IT experts, Curriculum Designers and specialists in Environmental Studies, Media Literacy, School Facilities design for 21st century learning. Physical Education, Health, Schoolyards and many more . . . This is definitely a "Platinum Level" group!
My plan is to encourage meaningful dialogue regarding 21st century education, not to have this group serve as nothing more than a bulletin board or a hodge podge of disconnected posts. My goal is real communication with each other! I will invite members to discuss:
* What is 21st century education?
* How do we help educators, and schools, make the transition into the 21st century? How do we help educators, and society, escape the obsolete, factory model paradigm?
* 3 facets of the Learning Environment required to support 21st century schools - the Physical, the Emotional and the Academic
* Discuss the 3 Compasses to 21st Century Education
